RE+SHAPE runs the same guided interview as the RE+SHAPE tool on this site, inside your own Claude. You describe something slow, repetitive or frustrating, and it works through the framework one question at a time: is this worth changing, what is it actually for, what can go, and where AI genuinely helps. It ends on one of five recommendations, and “leave it alone” counts as a good answer.

How it works
What it does
- Opens with one question: bring me your work, not an AI use case.
- Works through the seven stages in order: Reveal, Examine, Specify, Hunt, Augment, Put AI to Work, Execute.
- Holds each stage to a gate. It will not move on until it actually knows what that stage needs, such as how the work is done today and what it costs.
- Challenges premature solutions, separates fact from guesswork, and names a reframe only when the evidence supports one.
- Classifies every step of the workflow as delete, reduce, preserve or elevate before adding any AI.
- Stops as soon as the answer is clear, at any stage. The five endings are leave it alone, eliminate or redesign, augment, delegate and automate, and none ranks above another.
- Writes RE_SHAPE_PLAN.md every time, plus a file for each stage it actually reached, saved to disk where your host allows it.
Honest limits
What it will not do
- It only knows what you tell it. It never invents facts about your business, so vague answers get a follow-up question rather than a guess.
- The web version enforces its stage gates in code. Here the gates live in the instructions, so a determined user can talk past one. It is written to push back when that happens.
- It recommends an approach and writes the plan. It does not build or connect anything for you.
